Seeing this error message can be stressful. Here's what it means and what to do.
You're at the gantry, and instead of a beep, a dreaded message flashes on the screen: "RFID Not Detected" or "Tag Tidak Dikesan". This is different from an "Insufficient Balance" error. It means the overhead scanner could not establish any communication with your VEP RFID tag at all.
This is the most common cause. The tag's signal is too weak to reach the scanner because it's placed incorrectly (e.g., too low, too close to metal) or something is blocking it. This includes heavy metallic window tints or a dashcam mounted too close to the tag.
Getting through the gate with a handheld scanner is a temporary fix, not a solution. You don't want to face this uncertainty on every trip.
